Rio Arriba County residents will soon be asked to vote to renew the current 4.25 mill levy on property taxes, which sustains critical health care services in the county.
Voting for the mill levy will not raise taxes. This vote continues the existing 4.25 mill levy that has supported Presbyterian Española Hospital since 1996.
Presbyterian Española Hospital creates 415 jobs in our community and provides health care services to thousands of Rio Arriba County residents regardless of their ability to pay.
Money from the mill levy is invested to expand facilities and purchase needed medical equipment, including:
An upgrade and expansion of surgical areas featuring the latest technology to meet community needs.
A new 25,000-square foot emergency department to meet increased community demand that opened in 2017.
Funding for these independent rural clinics: La Clinica Del Pueblo, La Clinicas Del Norte, Rio Arriba County Treatment Center and El Centro Family Health.
